The understudies of great Hodag teams of the past now had their chance to shine as leaders of the Hodags. And they blew it. Again failure to gel, lack of Hodag Love, and poor team psyche prevented this team from reaching its potential. But, like in 1994, the seeds of great teams of the future were planted. Opie, Erich Wolff, Matt Bruss, Erich Gessert, the Kang and others arrived on the scene. Undaunted by their general poor showing, this crew went on to write a new and impressive chapter in Hodag history. On a sad note, the Hodags went o-for versus the Northfield dorkwads in the 1998 season.
