Oktoberfest No Longer Biggest
Alcoholic Event in World Oktoberfest, the month-long celebration of beer drinking held every October in Germany, has lost its Guinness World of Records distinction as the largest alcoholic event in the world. The honor now goes to, "any party in which Brian Joseph Frederick of Chippewa Falls, WI drinks," according to the Guinness Records committee. "While Oktoberfest has year in and year out been a celebration of beer, never has an entire country been drunk under the table by one man alone. Our hats off to him, he did the impossible." Close third and fourth place were Carnaval in Brazil, and Mardi Gras in New Orleans, LA. Headlines:
