• Madison Man Breaks Bystander's Arm, Curses Tournament Volunteer

A 20-year-old man was arrested late last night at Visions Nightclub after swearing profusely. Robert D. Kolstad, a Madison Edgewood graduate of '98, was subdued by police after they arrived at the scene. This is not Kolstad's first run-in with the law. In the summer of 2000, Kolstad was charged with aggravated assult after breaking the arm of a fellow Ultimate player during a scuffle at the Mason-Dixon tournament. He was extradited to the state of Kentuky and was released on parole, but taken back to court months later after screaming profanities at an observer in Athens, Georgia's Classic City Classic tournament. This is Kolstad's first Wisconsin arrest, but judging from his violent nature, not to be his last. Kolstad was charged with threat of bodily harm, resisting arrest, assulting a police officer, and graduating from Edgewood High School. He awaits arraignment in the Dane County jail.
